Head Coach Todd Vaughn
Coach Vaughn took the helm of the Pirates football program in 2013. He has seen the program improve on a yearly basis, including a 4-1 record in the white division of the Suburban Conference along with a second consecutive appearance in the district championship game.
Vaughn comes to Belton from a very successful time as the Head Football Coach at Farmington High School and Holt High School. While at Farmington, Coach amassed a 57-23 record, four conference championships, a trip to the quarterfinals, and two trips to the semifinals. In addition, his team was given the Officials Association Sportsmanship Award, and Coach Vaughn was a two time North Conference Coach of the Year.
While at Holt High School, Coach Vaughn’s overall record was 25-10 with a trip to the quarterfinals and the semifinals. Vaughn was named the 2003 class 4 Sportswriters Coach of the Year, 2003 St. Louis Post Dispatch Coach of the Year, and the 2003 St. Louis Rams Coach of the Year.
Coach Vaughn also served as Defensive Coordinator at Owensville High School and Fort Zumwalt West High School, with four playoff appearances. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach at Lindenwood University, coaching linebackers.
He played his college football at Missouri Valley College where he was a three-time Heart of America All-Conference selection, Heart of America Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and Honorable Mention All-American Defensive Lineman.
Coach Vaughn lives in Belton with his wife Kelly. They have 3 children and one grandchild.
